The Wheal Jane Laboratory was originally developed during the operational years of the Wheal Jane tin mine. A key part of the technical services department of the poly-metallic processing plant on the site, the laboratory also provided analytical services for associated mines operated by the owners during that period, Rio Tinto.
Since the closure of Cornwall’s last operating mine in 1998 and the formation of the Wheal Jane Group, the laboratory has undergone a transformation from an in-house testing and control facility to a multi-disciplined analytical laboratory using both traditional wet chemistry and the latest analytical techniques, offering a wide range of services to a worldwide client base.
Through the laboratory we provide full metallurgical analysis and a multiple services for the testing of soils and water.
