Footings inspections
Assessment of foundation trenches for developments where a full site investigation may not be required.
In certain situations where a development lies in a mining district but has no direct record of mining activity we may recommend a footings inspection to check for any unrecorded mining related ground disturbance. This can help to avoid the cost of a full investigation and possible adverse effects on new foundations. Once foundation trenches have been excavated as part of the build process, we inspect the ground for signs of mining activity or other forms of ground disturbance and further examine the geology of the site.
