Our Approach:
We carry out site-specific geotechnical investigations, including trial pits, boreholes, and lab testing of soils to assess bearing capacity and depth to competent bedrock.
We can also complete in-situ testing such as drainage tests, CBR testing and SPT testing to aid drainage, road and foundation design.
3. Contaminated Land
Historical land use can leave behind elevated levels of contaminants. For example, metals like arsenic and lead, hydrocarbons or asbestos.
Our Approach:
We perform a Phase I Preliminary Risk Assessment, followed by Phase II Intrusive Investigations if contamination is suspected. Soil and water samples are analysed in accredited laboratories to assess risk to human health, groundwater, and ecosystems. We also complete remediation strategies and verification inspections.
