Mine searches support improving housing trend

30 June

The number of requests we are receiving for mining searches is continuing to grow month on month, suggesting that the housing market is continuing to strengthen steadily.

Average monthly numbers of searches being processed by our mine search department are now matching the levels seen in 2006/7 prior to the recession.

Whilst a welcome trend, the department has also endured a period of upheaval by moving to new offices at Wheal Jane as part of the ongoing site redevelopment programme.

Despite this disruption, it has been business as usual with turnaround times maintained at on average 72 hours and faster if reports have been requested as urgent.
